Tool Exploration: Ed-Fi and Texas Education Exchange for Researchers

Looking for local and up-to-date data to boost your Texas research efforts? The Texas Education Exchange, a collaboration between the Texas Education Agency, Education Service Centers, and Education Analytics, is creating a low-cost data warehouse based on the Ed-Fi standard. Currently, 130 districts are contributing data, with about 800 more set to join by May 2025. Join us to learn how this technology provides standardized data for scalable, cross-district research and discover the types of data available. Bring your questions for an interactive discussion on utilizing these data for research initiatives.

 

NEW Findings and Insights: Tracking Education and Workforce Outcomes of Refugee and Asylee Students.

This session will share the recent findings from the University of Houston Education Research Center on the education and workforce outcomes of refugee and asylee students in Texas. Attendees will also discuss data collection practices in Texas public schools and explore the opportunities and limitations of those practices in monitoring and understanding the experiences of students in this important subgroup.
